Pipe Relining
Pitch Fibre Pipe Relining
Over a period of time the pipework can deteriorate through being poorly laid, age, weakening weight stress and chemical erosion.
The pipework can become porous, allowing water to leak out. Subsoil is then washed away from around the pipe causing subsistence. If the pipe work leaks it may attract, tree or shrub roots causing further damage.
Pitch fibre pipe work is prone to deterioration from within by blistering, causing obstructions and eventually closing the pipe. The usual forms of pipe maintenance, eg high pressure jetting, carried out on pitch fibre pipe work may actually cause further damage due to it’s delicate nature.
This system works through winching a specially developed ’re-former’ designed to force the pitch fibre pipe circular and remove any blistering. This is carried out three times and the pipe is flushed with clean water ti remove any debris.
Using an elasticated polyester line impregnated with resin and inserted into the host pipe with air pressure, the system is able to install perfectly formed liners through all bends and cross sectional area chambers in pipe sizes 100mm to 225mm. This is known to be able to withstand original imposed loading without further deformation.
- Smooth finish of installed liner improves flow by up to 30%
- Drain runs structurally sound immediately process has been completed and proven to be able to withstand all imposed loads without deforming again
- Re-rounding carried out and from existing machines repairs pitch fibre pipes from 100mm (4inch) diameter upwards
- Installed liners meet the UK Water Industries Specification 4-34-04 and are approved for use by all the UK Water Companies
Hot / Cold Cure Relining
For small diameter domestic pipe repairs, we use hot or cold cure relining. This product uses liner and resin to re-line the inside of the damaged pipe and is cured with either ambrient temperature (Cold Cure) or hot water (Hot Cure).
Heat can also be used to melt original pitch fibre pipe and bonds to the outside of the new cured liner giving additional strength. Cold cure can be installed using air or water.
Epoxy Pipe Relining
Manhole to Manhole
- There is less shrinkage over time
- Infiltration will never return
- The resins are environmentally friendly and can be disposed of easier
- No more smells from the resins used
- Structual outstanding strengths
- Solvent free
- Better control of cure time
Robotic cutters
Robotic cutters are an excellent piece of equipment. For re-opening of laterals in a liner which has been installed or for cutting oit obstructions without collapsing the pipe.
Small Diameter System
Using elasticated polyester liner impregnated with specially developed ambient cure resin and inserted into the host pipe with air pressure. The system is able to install perfectly installed liners through all bends and cross sectional area changes in pipe sizes ranging from 100mm to 300mm inside/outside buildings.
Jetclean UK can install a small diameter liner within an existing damaged host pipe.
Small diameter lining can be used to:
- Line bends up to 90 degrees without creasing
- Line through changes in pipe shape i.e. from square to round
- Air installation with little disruption
- Uses Ambient cure resins
- Repairs backdrops
- Lines laterals to the main sewer
CIPP and Localised Liners
Allow structural repairs to be carried out within a live pipe. The liners have smooth tapered ends giving little resistanec to flow. The liner bonds to the existing pip with chemicals, even when wet conditions.
Localised liners are installed to water industry standards.
Finally Jetclean UK engineers install a cured in place (CIPP) impregnated with either a polyester or epoxy resin system. The major benefits are that the work can be carried out without the need to remove the existing manholes also the pipeline can be restored to it’s original shape without the disruption of a costly excavation.
